Prerequsites:
Please ensure you've set a password for your CapTechLab account. To confirm, this means you can freely log into https://password.captechlab.org/. If you need help, please read the solutions article on Activating Your CapTechLab Account.
To access the lab, you will need to connect to the Lab's VPN first.
Follow these instructions if you're an end-user trying to set up your WireGuard client to work with CapTechLab's Remote Infrastructure.
Install and setup
Follow this guide to establish a VPN session through the WireGuard native client.
Step 1: Install the native WireGuard client
CapTechLab's Remote Infrastructure is compatible with the official WireGuard clients found here:

Step 2: Download the device config file
The device config file can be self-generated via the CapTechLab's Remote Infrastructure portal. To begin and self generate a device config file, visit https://remote.captechlab.org/
- Select Sign in with CapTechLab SSO
- Once at the CapTechLab SSO page, sign in with username@captechlab.org and your password:
- From the device management page, select Add Device:
- Leave all the defaults as configured, and select Generate Configuration:
- Download the Wireguard Configuration:
- And import it into your client:
Setup is complete!
Usage
Once installed and configured, to reinstate a remote connection to the lab,
- Launch the Wireguard application on your computer
- Select the configured tunnel in the left hand window
- Select Activate and Deactivate as desired.
- Once connected, point Chrome to the Lab's web address at https://lab.captechlab.org.
